Developers spotted that Xcode 27 includes a protocol-server start MCP command that spins up a built-in MCP server, exposing Xcode's diagnostics to AI coding assistants.

Hand it to Claude or Codex and you get an 'automatic debugging Swiss Army knife': the agent can read compiler/IDE diagnostics directly and iterate on fixes, removing the copy-paste-errors loop for iOS/macOS development.
