KeyForge3D, an open-source GitHub project (618 stars), generates a 3D-printable STL model from a single photo of a physical key.
- Extracts the key's 2D profile via image processing
- Automatically analyzes the bitting pattern (e.g. "05624")
- Generates a 3D model with accurate cuts and exports STL
- Ships a simple Tkinter GUI aimed at locksmiths and hobbyists
