Researcher warns CHI is about to be flooded by AI slop papers

HCI researcher Ian Arawjo warns that AI is bad at writing and predicts a wave of AI slop submissions to CHI: many papers will get rejected, not necessarily citing slop as the official reason, but partly because of it. "Brace for impact," he writes, capturing growing tension between academia and AI-generated prose.
