OpenAI's developer account announced GPT-Live-1 is now available in the API, bringing ChatGPT-style natural back-and-forth voice to apps: voice agents that listen while they speak, working with the models and harness you choose.
A developer quickly worked out the cost of always-on use: running it 24/7 costs roughly $72 per day, a useful benchmark for anyone building continuously available voice agents.
