Early MCP contributor who shipped it at Clerk now strongly advises against the protocol

jescalan, who implemented MCP at Clerk and contributed to the MCP spec and SDKs in its early days, says he now strongly advises against using the protocol as both a consumer and a provider. He believes it's too late to reverse course but predicts MCP will waste countless engineering hours over the coming years, while a simpler and better alternative is within reach. Multiple developers, including kenwheeler, publicly endorsed the take.
