Universe is a Mac-native "workspace for humans and agents": you plug in the Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, or Grok account you already pay for — no new subscription, free to start, then $19/month.
Its pitch is "hand over the work, watch it come back done":
- Reads/writes only one folder you pick; nothing leaves your machine;
- Drives your signed-in Chrome, searches the web, and works across mail, calendar, Drive, and invoicing;
- Delivers spreadsheets, reports, decks, even working apps as local files;
- Supports long-running and scheduled jobs (e.g., pull yesterday's orders at 06:00, reconcile, draft exceptions);
- Skills let you teach it once and reuse.
