A developer ordered via an AI assistant product and the merchant then required him to approve the order himself "for security purposes." The interesting part: the merchant detected that the order was placed by an agent, which the author speculates may be a new kind of two-factor auth — annoying, but a real-world friction point for agentic commerce.
