Shopify has announced it is migrating all of its mobile apps from React Native back to native Swift and Kotlin. The company says its 2020 all-in bet on React Native was a huge success that saved significant development time, but it is now returning to native.
React Native community figure Jamon Holmgren noted there is nuance most people will miss and that React Native isn't going anywhere soon, while promoting his agency Infinite Red's native app development services and agentic workflows.
