OpenAI's GPT-Live-1 Revealed via Design Partner Elise AI Announcement
OpenAIDevs · x · 2026-09-11
Elise AI announced it has been an early design partner with OpenAI Devs for GPT-Live-1 for the past few months.
The author recalls the excitement when the first speech-to-speech models emerged in 2024, noting it took a long time to reach production — and that GPT-Live-1 brings many interesting improvements, some less obvious. This appears to be the first public naming of OpenAI's next-gen realtime voice model, now in partner testing.
