OpenAI has released GPT-Live-1 as a developer API, a full-duplex speech model that lets apps talk and listen at the same time. It scores 80.1% in interactivity tests, up from 45.4% for its predecessor, enabling natural interruption and real-time two-way conversation. At $0.05 per minute, it's not cheap, but marks a big leap for voice app developers.
