ML practitioner Andriy Burkov argues that in the long run, AI will make most people dumber because their brains will refuse to think once they know they don't have to — a well-studied energy-preservation mechanism. Only a small fraction with an insatiable desire to learn fundamentals will keep creating and fixing things.
