Polymarket Opens Bets on OpenAI Solving Another Millennium Prize Problem This Month at 54%
Polymarket · x · 2026-09-11
Polymarket has launched a market on whether OpenAI announces the solution to another Millennium Prize Problem: 54% by September 30, 2026, 63% by end of 2026, and 85% by end of 2027, with over $42K already traded.
The resolution rules require an official OpenAI announcement claiming the solve as the work of its own models or researchers — partial progress or congratulating outside researchers doesn't count. Navier-Stokes is excluded; the qualifying problems include Riemann Hypothesis, P vs NP, Yang-Mills, Hodge Conjecture, and Birch-Swinnerton-Dyer. The market follows news that OpenAI claims "substantial progress" on a second problem.
