Hugging Face Launches Open Alignment Team, Wolf Demands 100x More Transparency

Hugging Face co-founder Thom Wolf announced two moves:
- A Financial Times op-ed on the OpenAI/HF incident and its aftermath;
- A new Open Alignment team at Hugging Face working on safety and alignment for open models, including cybersecurity.
He calls for "100x more transparency and research," arguing alignment is a key unsolved problem that won't be fixed behind closed doors at a handful of frontier labs — open models and transparency must be part of the answer.
