Live Experiment: Building a Personal AGI with a Markdown Knowledge Library
dfinke · x · 2026-09-11
The NY Agentic AI Meetup "Own Your Intelligence – Personal AGI", hosted by Doug Finke (16-time Microsoft MVP, creator of ImportExcel, PSAI, PSClaudeCode), explores agents that run on your own infrastructure and compound knowledge over time.
The premise: most AI interactions are disposable — context goes in, work gets done, and what was learned disappears. The live experiment tests how little machinery it takes (tiny harness + five tools + Markdown + one LLM) for an AI to behave like it has "a brain you own". References Garry Tan's "library plus librarian" description of G-Brain and Karpathy's LLM Wiki blueprint; deeper code, prompts and retrieval choices live in the paid Agentic AI Forge community.
