Justin Johnson announced that his 2016 paper 'Perceptual Losses for Real-Time Style Transfer and Super-Resolution,' co-authored with Alex Alahi and Fei-Fei Li, has won the ECCV Test of Time Award.
He notes it's remarkable that the paper remains a core ingredient in many modern pipelines a decade later — including the VAEs used in diffusion models.
