OpenAI has released ChatGPT Images 2.5 (listed on LMArena as GPT-Image-2.5 Sunburst), claiming faster generation, higher fidelity for natural, recognizable images, consistent details across multi-step edits, and comment-based edits that change only what you specify.
The model just ranked #1 on all three LMArena leaderboards: Text-to-Image, Image Edit, and Multi-Image Edit. Arena is offering free Direct Mode access for 72 hours, until September 13, 8 a.m. PT; afterward it stays available anonymously in Battle and Agent Mode, where user votes feed the leaderboard rankings.
