Anthropic models AI's impact on jobs through 2030 using nursing as a case study

Anthropic's Economics team built a model of how AI could reshape jobs, wages, and growth through 2030, using nursing to illustrate the "task bundle" approach: a nurse's job spans triage, charting, care planning, supply orders, patient monitoring, and hands-on care — and AI affects each differently.

The takeaway: fewer nurses is unlikely; instead nurses may oversee more work while AI absorbs admin and repetitive tasks — less "AI replaces nurses," more "AI changes what nurses spend their time doing."
