Second mathematician challenges OpenAI to prove its models didn't use unpublished work

Days after a bitter row over whether OpenAI's models benefited from unpublished mathematical work, mathematician Andreas Thom raised concerns on Mastodon that his and colleagues' interactions with ChatGPT may have contributed to OpenAI's math discoveries. He accused the company of "dishonest" behavior and lack of transparency about training data origins.
