In defense of AI artists: vision is what you do with the model, not the tool itself

Responding to claims that AI artists can't explain their choices and therefore lack vision, the author argues models don't decide the story, mood, references, rejections, or final selection—people do. Using AI doesn't make you an artist any more than owning a camera makes you a photographer, but dismissing taste, direction, and iterative effort as "not their vision" is lazy criticism.
