Phone-scan a house with 3D Gaussian Splatting, walk through it in any browser tab

A developer scanned an entire house with a phone; anyone can now walk through every room photorealistically in a plain browser tab—no app, no VR, no agent, no appointment. It runs on 3D Gaussian Splatting: millions of colored depth-aware splats reconstruct the scene from photos, and the file is smaller than a TikTok clip.

The economics are brutal: an agent fee on a $500k home runs $15,000 vs $200 per scan, and freelancers already charge $300–800 per scan for realtors, Airbnbs, venues, and dealerships. Open source, built on PlayCanvas—one person, one phone, one weekend equals a business.
