Quoting a jab about doomers wanting to imprison AI researchers in a facility named after their LessWrong Harry Potter fanfics, beffjezos levels a sharper accusation: the doomers' plan is to create a literal regulatory moat to keep ordinary people away from ASI research while they operate in the shadows and run the world government. "Not even joking," he adds — another sharp round in the safety-vs-acceleration feud.
