ScreenContext: free open-source Mac recorder that feeds screen videos to AI agents as context

Developer Marcus Schiesser released ScreenContext, a native Mac screen recorder built to give AI agents screen context. It records a screen or window via a global shortcut (Control–Command-R by default), with system audio, mic, and a webcam overlay. When you stop, you can copy the video or its local file path and paste it into any video-capable agent to, say, produce a product video, fix a bug, or create a ticket. A Copy & Return feature switches back to the previous app for pasting. Recordings stay local as MP4; the app includes no AI service and no uploads. Free on the Mac App Store and open source.
