Solo builder hackathon Grevix AfterCode challenges one person to ship in 24 hours with Gemini
Significant-Log-4272 · reddit · 2026-09-10
A Reddit builder is planning Grevix AfterCode, an online hackathon scheduled for October 11, 2026.
The format: one builder, one idea, 24 hours, no fixed tech stack. Participants can freely use Gemini, AI coding agents, APIs, automation tools, open-source models, or traditional development.
Partially revealed design choices:
- Every builder must define one measurable outcome before starting, instead of chasing the biggest-looking demo
- A planned AI vs Human build log: what was delegated to AI, what worked, what failed, and where human judgment was still needed
- A few unexpected challenges will pop up during the 24 hours
The goal is answering how far one person can take a meaningful problem with today's AI tools, not who generated the most code.
