Polymarket opens race: OpenAI at 64% to solve a Millennium Prize Problem before Anthropic
Polymarket · x · 2026-09-10
Polymarket launched a new prediction market: which of OpenAI or Anthropic will first announce solving a Millennium Prize Problem by Dec 31, 2027. OpenAI currently trades at 64%.
Key rules:
- Qualifying problems include the Riemann Hypothesis, P vs NP, Yang-Mills mass gap, Hodge Conjecture, and BSD Conjecture; Navier-Stokes is excluded.
- Only official announcements of a full solution count; partial progress doesn't. Same-day announcements split 50-50.
- Solves by other companies don't affect resolution.
