Anthropic Launches Interactive Explorer for AI's 2030 Economic Scenarios

Building on its technical report Economic Scenarios for Transformative AI (Korinek et al., 2026), Anthropic's economics team launched an interactive scenario explorer where users plug in their own predictions about AI capability and adoption to see what the US economy might look like in 2030.
Official takeaway: in scenarios from business-as-usual to AI roughly doubling growth, unemployment stays within historical ranges and wages remain flat or rise by industry. In scenarios with growth faster than anything in economic history, knowledge workers face wage and job-prospect damage — society is far wealthier, and the challenge is broadly sharing the gains. The project complements Anthropic's Economic Index, which measures how AI is used across the economy today.
