Abi Seta of Google Cloud shared a playable pickleball reference app running on Spanner Omni — the downloadable, self-managed edition of Spanner — in an edge-like configuration. The demo shows how Google's core distributed database can be pushed into self-managed/edge setups; code is available on GitHub.
