Omarchy Install Speed Record Falls to 35 Seconds on a Halo AMD Laptop

The Omarchy install-speed leaderboard run by fans has a new world record: powderluv installed DHH's Arch-based Omarchy on a Halo AMD laptop (Ryzen, SK hynix PCB01) in 35 seconds — the first sub-40-second run, publicly corroborated via GitHub issue and X.
Per the community history, installs took about five minutes a year ago; most of the gains trace to one engineering decision — making the installer work fully offline, removing network bandwidth as a variable and leaving disk I/O as the bottleneck. The unofficial leaderboard at omarchy.racing tracks attempts and isn't affiliated with DHH, Basecamp, or 37signals.
