Replit's Free Mode auto-routes models on a $20 plan, cutting token costs up to 30x

Replit launched Free Mode: on a $20 subscription you can chat, plan and iterate without worrying about token costs, as Replit automatically picks the right model per task so small jobs don't burn heavy credits. Builders say idea exploration used to be expensive and is now effectively free — the amount you can build on one subscription went up by as much as 30x, as token costs keep dropping and models keep getting smarter.
