Astra beats Celeste chapter 1 from screen input and mines a Minecraft diamond overnight
imjustnewatai · x · 2026-09-10
Two Astra gaming demos are making the rounds:
- loicmagne had Astra play Celeste purely by looking at the screen — it cleared chapter 1 with only a few retries (non-realtime; the game pauses while the model thinks).
- wuyangzhou asked Astra via computer use to mine a diamond in Minecraft, went to sleep, and woke up to a diamond in its inventory.
Both showcase vision-driven agents handling long-horizon, precision-heavy game tasks — and the poster suspects this is nowhere near the model's ceiling.
