Chollet: "JAX has no pretrained models" is a myth — thousands via Keras 3

fchollet · x · 2026-09-10

Keras creator François Chollet pushes back on the claim that JAX lacks pretrained models: with the JAX backend, all Keras models run as native JAX functions, giving JAX users access to thousands of pretrained Keras 3 models.

In the thread he adds that ZeroModels ships pretrained weights for 100+ model families in Keras 3, runnable on any backend; combined with KerasHub, the coverage of foundation models is extensive. He encourages JAX users to try it.
