Runway Launches MCP to Bring Video Generation into Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor

Runway has launched Runway MCP, a connector that brings its image and video generation into conversational agents like Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and Replit — with access to models including Seedance 2.0, GPT image 2, Kling, Nano Banana Pro, and Gen-4.5.
Setup takes three steps: in Claude desktop or claude.ai, go to Customize → Connectors, add a custom connector pointing to https://mcp.runwayml.com/mcp, then sign in with your Runway account. The author demoed a one-shot workflow: a single prompt ("Generate a cute bedtime story for a child") combined Fable 5.1 with Runway MCP to produce a finished video.
Official showcase use cases include generating product shots in-chat, turning a product URL into a polished marketing video, and building multi-shot, dialogue-driven ads — targeting product marketing and content creation workflows.
