A Multiplayer AI Manifesto: cloud agents everyone on the team can join

sergeykarayev · reddit · 2026-09-10

Sergey Karayev, co-founder of Superconductor, published a manifesto arguing AI at work should be multiplayer: for over a year his team's Claude/Codex agents have run in the cloud, joinable by anyone, with meeting agents spawning subagents and a Chief of Staff agent resolving bottlenecks. He argues today's siloed AI chats impose a "context tax" on every handoff, that enterprise plans don't offer true multiplayer, and cites a Harvard Business School study plus Shopify's River agent (1 in 8 PRs co-authored within a month) as evidence. He proposes five principles—never copy-and-paste, work with the door open, continuously improve, and more—which no current vendor fully satisfies.
