A developer reports: last week K3 optimized mjwarp kernels for a workload for a 77% speedup. Asking GPT-6 Astra to optimize further, it first failed with an obviously wrong direction, then tuned numthreads for only 0.38% gain. The author notes GPT-6 Astra performs well on other tasks.
