Reflecting on his own past analogy, Plinz says he used to see contemporary philosophers as LLM-like: stringing words together, summarizing and rehashing old ideas without novel creative insight or coherent proof. Now he says he is no longer so pessimistic about LLMs — implying the models' creative potential may be underrated.
