According to @synthwavedd, Google DeepMind is testing Nano Banana 2.5, codename "spicy-mayo", on the Image Arena. Their take: a significant jump over the previous version, but not meaningfully better than GPT-Image 2.5, especially on world knowledge. The quoter joked about the confusing naming.
