Researcher rebuts AI extinction claims: worst case, governments just unplug the internet

The latter part of Microsoft researcher Jesse Dodge's thread:
- Worst case: AI starts killing people fast and escapes its sandbox — then governments require unplugging all computers from the internet; even the most incompetent government would do it.
- At that point we're back to the 1990s, a world with almost no internet — which is not a human extinction event.
- Conclusion: AI is certainly dangerous, with direct evidence today, but he sees no evidence for extinction-level risk.
