YC-backed Dock launches: a team of proactive agents that hand off work like colleagues

ycombinator · x · 2026-09-10

Mike Molinet launched Dock, backed by Y Combinator. After 500 conversations over six months, from solo founders to enterprise CEOs, his takeaway: people still get little value from AI — not because of the models, but because the tools around LLMs aren't enough for real people.

Dock isn't a pre-meeting briefing assistant or a chat box you prompt for blog posts. It's a team of proactive agents that communicate, hand off work, and collaborate in a shared workspace — with their own calendars — running real business workflows like launch runbooks, outbound sequences, and QA checklists. The site demo shows a chief-of-staff agent coordinating multiple workstreams (email queues, pricing sign-offs, site audits) through a launch day.
