Coeff launches Project Tailwind: up to $200M to fund AI safety founders
lxrjl · x · 2026-09-09
Coeff Giving has launched Project Tailwind, a call for founders to start ambitious AI safety initiatives. Over several months the team brainstormed 200+ fundable startup ideas, narrowed down to favorites, and also welcomes founders bringing their own.
Funding comes in three tiers: pre-seed $200k–$2m to develop an idea and team, seed $2m–$20m to launch and scale, and scale $20m–$200m+ for proven teams — aimed at building the research, technologies, and institutions to navigate the risks of transformative AI.
