MiniMax (Hailuo AI) officially launched MiniMax Design, a local multimodal AI creation platform with macOS and Windows clients.
It centers on a five-step production workflow:
- Agent mode: describe an idea or drop a brief; the main agent parses intent, decomposes tasks, and auto-matches the best model (manual selection available)
- Canvas flow: script, storyboard, video, music and editing on one node graph with automatic linking — no tool-switching
- Skills & plugins: build custom Skills via chat or one-click proven workflows from the Plaza
- Local asset center: canvas assets auto-save locally; agents access local files and export to pro tools in one click
