Anthropic's first economics paper models transformative AI scenarios with 15% annual GDP growth

Anthropic economist Anton Korinek, with Chad Jones, Szymon Sacher, Tess Cotter and Peter McCrory, released the working paper "Economic Scenarios for Transformative AI," offering a framework to compare how AI could reshape growth, wages and jobs by 2030. One scenario implies GDP growth rising to 15% per year — prompting economist Florian Ederer to joke it's "benmoll betting territory."
