A Reddit user compared GPT Image 2.5 and 2.0 with the same one-line prompt (a TikTok livestream screenshot). On 2.5 the comment usernames are readable handles and comments are real sentences; on 2.0 half dissolve into letter shapes — the gap is the texture layer. They also note ChatGPT's built-in image gen silently calls gpt-image-2.5-flare, while gpt-image-2.5-sunburst is only selectable via the API.
