Humanoid revolution needs $250B more motors on top of $50-60B in use today

An industry analysis shared by Neuracore AI argues that the humanoid robotics timeline hype doesn't match physical supply: there's roughly $50-60 billion worth of electric motors currently in use in industrial robotics, and realizing the most extreme humanoid predictions would require producing another $250 billion worth.
Karol Janik of the MTC, speaking at Automate Further, contends that much of the current noise around AI and robotics—from language models to world action models to new robot form factors—comes with timeline claims that don't hold up against the scale of manufacturing that would actually need to be built.
