A Redditor compared two new image generation models: 2.5-sunburst is a massive improvement over 2.0, producing stunning results on old prompts via the API, while 2.5-flare — the default in chat — suffers from poor character consistency and ugly outputs.
On cost: about $7 via API yielded only 150 images, while a $20 plus plan allows roughly 3,600 generations — but the chat default remains the weaker flare model.
