The GPT-Image line adds two models: Flare for speed and Sunburst for quality, both priced the same as GPT-Image-2 ($0.0058/image at 1024x1024 low quality, $0.21 at max).
- GPT-Image-2.5 Flare: higher quality than GPT-Image-2 with 50% lower latency; becomes the default for most apps — content creation, social media assets, visual search, rapid prototyping and bulk generation
- GPT-Image-2.5 Sunburst: built for high-fidelity visual workflows needing fine control across multiple edits, like production-ready campaign creative and polished product imagery
