Citing OpenAI's claim, Nat Lambert highlights that an internal model group solved Navier–Stokes in 88 hours using 10,000 coordinating AI agents, under the same monitoring and isolation safeguards applied to frontier evaluations, with the model's training still ongoing.

Lambert argues the field needs scaling laws on the number of agents: whether scaling swarm size matters as much as inference-time CoT scaling is central to discussions about AI's future.
