Burkov Mocks AGI Hype: Add a Validation Layer Before Showing Users a Broken Cheetah
burkov · x · 2026-09-09
ML author Andriy Burkov mocks repeated AGI claims: every time one lands, a dumb failure surfaces — counting r's in strawberry, 9.11 vs 9.9, and now a mutated nuclear-holocaust cheetah image.
- His suggestion: at minimum add a validation layer that self-checks output before showing it to users — that alone would look more like AGI
- Verdict: vendors can't even do that, and 'they never stop lying'
