Reacting to a researcher's public resignation, MIRI head Nate Soares wrote: 'Speaking frankly about the problem just works. I wish more people followed Jacob's example. I wish folks at the labs understood how much damage they're doing by downplaying and softpedaling and speaking in vague abstractions all the time.'
