Developer RhysSullivan argues that AI practitioners are "too cruel" to the artists and mathematicians whose fields are being disrupted by AI.
He cites a striking analogy: "imagine if Claude Code was just outputting a binary asset, not code" — suggesting programmers only avoid the pain because AI's output happens to be text. He concludes that antagonizing fellow humans over AI doing their work is wrong.
