Matt Shumer's experiment: he dropped a computer into the simulation his Astra agents live in, and one agent built its own simulator — complete with agents living inside it. The agents had full autonomy to design their simulation via code, though Shumer admits the setup was somewhat leading. Still, he notes models can now pull this off: "Simulation theory doesn't sound so crazy after all."
