Reacting to OpenAI citing others' work as "concurrent work," Delip Rao argues peer review at AI conferences (ACL, AAAI, ICLR, NeurIPS) will die soon. Because reviewers bid on submission abstracts, a bad actor can grab an abstract, prompt an LLM to reconstruct the paper in days, and arXiv it while claiming originality — and he expects this to hit a conference near you.
